About the DEI-termined Manifesto!
We were never meant to be quiet.
Not in classrooms, not in boardrooms, & not in the face of systems that erase us under the guise of “efficiency.” The push to dismantle DEI isn’t about “saving money” — it’s about silencing the marginalized, defiant. It’s about silencing people who make many people in power uncomfortable — Black, Brown, LGBT+, disabled, immigrant, poor, loud. They’re gutting DEI, censoring words, rewriting rules, and calling it reform. It’s about rewriting the rules so that equity becomes optional & inclusion becomes inconvenient. It’s not about “cleaning up government” but destroying Democracy itself & this isn’t temporary — it’s an authoritarian infrastructure being built as we speak/read/turn on TV, not just a chaotic moment.
That’s not “cleanup”. That’s erasure.
These were never just “different policies”. What’s happening right now isn’t about cleaning up government but dismantling democracy one clause at a time. It’s a Constitutional Crisis. They’re bypassing Congress with sweeping executive orders, gutting education, rewriting how the Department of Justice operates, and threatening to withhold funding from anyone who doesn’t fall in line. They’ve fired thousands of federal workers, retaliated against law firms and protestors, punished universities that won’t play along, and “disappeared” innocent civilians into prisons in other countries. They’ve imposed massive tariffs without Congressional approval, inflamed trade wars and manipulated the global economy to serve one man’s ego. And now they’re threatening journalists, silencing dissent, and cutting off funding to public broadcasting — because tyrants don’t like witnesses. This isn’t governance — it’s strongman theater with a flag pinned to its lapel.
This isn’t hypothetical. This is happening. And it violates everything this country was supposed to stand for.
DEI-termined stands in direct defiance of that erasure. We wear resistance, we print protest, we speak what others are afraid to say out loud. This isn’t politics. It’s principle. We believe in the radical idea that equity is not wasteful, that inclusion is not dangerous, and that free speech includes the speech of the underrepresented. We respond with resistance — loud, organized, and relentless. But resistance isn’t just a vibe. It’s a structure. A plan. A commitment. DEI-termined is one brick in the wall. But we need more — more storytellers, more whistleblowers, more digital havens, more counter-narratives. The other side has a strategy.
So must we.
